Diploma project
The inspiration for this project comes from my homeland and is based on the traditional making of Spanish espadrile. In paticular, the weaving: using an esparto cord  that starts from the middle to the outside as a big snail in order to form the entire spadrile.
Starting my research from this ancient craft that interlaces patterns, the aim is to simplify this technique. Therefore the esparto grass are substitute to polypropylen strings to have a strong resistence and flexibility to create free patterns. The strings are attached by termo welding. As a result I created a serie of objects;a carpet and a lamp which start from flat and slowly takes a three dimensional shape.

                   Ice cube
Collaboration with Chopard
This bag is inspired by the iconic jewellery from the ‘‘Ice Cube’’ collection. Specially by the geometrical element formed when the cubes are joined. This strong graphical detail was translated into folding components which reveal a new aesthethics of the bag.

       Panoramique  centerpiece
Collaboration with Hotel des Trois Couronnes, Vevey
This project is based on the iconic terraces of the vineyards from the Lavaux area. I was directly inspired by the outlines that border the vineyards and their different layers that create a subtle impression of depth.
On the basis of that aesthetic I translated the outlines of the landscape into five different rings in order to create an ornamental object. The rings were made out of brass (to illustrate the beauty of this landscape at sunset) with different finishes – polished, sanded or brushed – in order to create various perspectives and a more dynamic sculpture. Set on the hotel’s restaurant tables, this centrepiece will allow the guests to feel the beauty of the Lavaux.
